2007's Best Flat Irons and Hair Straighteners
CurlytoStraight.com announces the winners of the very best hair straighteners of 2007.
The standards that were used to decide on this "Best Of" list are; customer feed back, customer support, product features and reliability. This review doesn't discuss all classes of hair straighteners or flat irons available. Only high quality products were reviewed and costs weren't taken into account.
The following reviews are based only on features, the feed back of consumers and product quality. It doesn't take cost into consideration.
1) The FHI Runway Series - This line of hair straightener is without a doubt the very best available. It has each and every innovative capability; lightening fast heat time, 450F max temp, damp-or-dry styling, revolutionary heating plates, adjustable heat and the most consistent plate heating of any product out there. The Runway models also have the best customer feed back of each the products we reviewed. If you want the very best straightener out there this is it, and they are experience. These Irons sell for about $400.
Is it worth the money? Certainly, if you can afford the price.
2) The FHI Platform Series - As leaders in the progress of tourmaline integration and ceramic plating, FHI's Platform series offers consumers a superior straightener at a much more affordable price. Available in assorted sizes, the Platform series features 450F max heat, ultra flash heat times, PTFC ceramic heat plates and adjustable temperature. While the Platform Series is less pricey than the Runway series, they're still pricey at around $150 - $200.
3) CHI Pink Series - The stylish pink straightener offers the best reliability and performance of any straightener in the Farouk CHI line of products. Flash heat times, ceramic plates, and temperature control combined with an ergonomically and comfortably designed handle make the CHI hair straighteners a wonderful choice for those that want the most from their hair.
4) T3 Wet-or-Dry - This straightener actually has a rank that is above the CHI Pink series as far as product features are concerned, but it was dropped to fourth place due to the fact that consumers have had difficulty with warranty returns. Aside from that, the T3 Wet-or-Dry offers a well-made ceramic design.
5) CHI Turbo Series - The CHI Turbo series takes fifth place in our 2007 review of hair straighteners. This hair straightener line is used by more hair professionals than any other model. And though its maximum temperature and flash heating aren't as good as the CHI Pink, this is a great option for anyone who wants superior dependability and performance.
Honorable Mention
Though our 2007 review of straighteners lists the creme de la creme, there are many other high quality, professionally designed flat irons and straighteners on the market today. Here are a few:
GHD Hair Straighteners - A great device with a polished design integrating many cutting edge features makes the GHD straighteners a superior option.
HAI Hair Straightener|Flat Iron - HAI hair straighteners have a couple of wonderful choices at reasonable prices; the Nu Stik and the Convertible.
FHI Flat Iron|Hair Straightener - The FHI Technique series provides consumers with a Best in Class product for the conventional models. The FHI ceramic flat iron is an excellent product with several of the technologies of the new millennium.*One of the better known models available, the sedu ceramic hair straightener, wasn't reviewed because of the anti-competitive, exclusive online distribution agreement and what seems to be misleading sales practices.
